A Life Shaped by Faith, Friendship & Resilience - Our February Spotlight
21 February 2026
Melevesi Gonerogo (née Rakai) reflects on a life grounded in simplicity, service, and enduring friendship. Forging lifelong bonds at St. Joseph’s Secondary School, her story is one of courage, cultural connection, and quiet determination. Guided by the Cluny Sisters and inspired by her love of English and reading, Melevesi’s journey led her into librarianship, faith-filled service, and a legacy that now spans children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Our Mission Statement

The Spirit of Fijian ancestry lives on in our SJSS Community as our paths take us to all points of the globe, where we live, work and play guided by our family and Cluny values.

Our Sydney chapter meets regularly to plan and hold fundraising events, which are packed with kailas and kana that bonds the connection to our home country and Alumnae worldwide.

The xSJSS-Sydney goals are to support, in various ways, our school and the welfare of our beloved Cluny Sisters in Fiji.
